Flag Football Rules of Play
In keeping with our philosophy to develop better athletes, Northwest Rec League is proud to announce that we will be offering flag football this fall. We believe that exposing kids to a variety of sports at a young age will keep sports fun and exciting and help avoid early sports specialization and burnout.
Flag football is a great way to learn and experience the sport in a safer environment. Our goal is to introduce young players to the fundamentals and excitement of the game. Players will focus on basic offensive and defensive skills in practice drills and games. And like other sports we offer, kids will learn the value of teamwork and leadership skills as well as building self-confidence. They will continue to develop hand-eye coordination, lateral quickness, speed, strength and aerobic conditioning that will translate to other sports in which they participate.
Costs: $75 per player
Teams will play 6 on 6, rosters will be between 7-12 players
We will play a 7 game schedule with a tournament at the end of the season
